UP Election: In Uttar Pradesh, all the parties are engaged in the electoral battle. But the biggest battle of politics is being fought in Rampur district. In this, on one side is the family of Azam Khan and on the other side is the Nawab family of Rampur.
In UP's Rampur, a political battle has started between the Nawab family and Azam Khan's family in a very filmy style. Azam Khan's son Abdullah Azam is in the fray from Swar seat of Rampur and against him is the candidate of Apna Dal, Chirag Haider Ali Khan of the princely state of Nawabs. This is the first time since 2014 that the BJP alliance has given ticket to a Muslim candidate.
This time the interesting thing in the election here is that the son is contesting from the BJP alliance and the father from the Congress. Haider Ali Khan alias Hamza Mian is the son of Congress leader Nawab Kazim Ali Khan alias Naved Mian. Naved Mian had contested from Swar seat in 2017 on a BSP ticket, but he had to face defeat from Abdullah Azam by 65 thousand votes.
Will he be able to avenge the defeat of Haider Ali's father Naved Mian at the hands of Abdullah Azam in the last election? In response to this question, Haider Ali Khan said, 'Abdullah's victory in the last election was only because the administration was with him at that time, there was pressure on him. We do politics of development whereas Azam Khan only got riots done.
He said, 'I am confident of winning my assembly seat. They tell people but first look at the cases against you. Abdullah and Azam Khan become poor and weeping in front of people. Haider said, when he was in government, he made people homeless. Picked up the cemetery's cemetery. occupied. Their tears are tears, public tears are nothing. Wrongly given contracts to his close ones.
Haider further said, 'Abdullah has pride. He shows only two fingers while shaking hands with people. I chose development, that's why I am contesting from Apna Dal. Development has taken place during the tenure of CM Yogi. During this, he also told the meaning of 80 and 20. Apna Dal candidate said, 'In 80 there are those who want development and in 20 those who create riots like Azam Khan.'
Talking about the Swar assembly seat, the fight here has become even more interesting because it is a fight for credibility for Abdullah Azam. Abdullah Azam's legislature was canceled after the victory in the 2017 assembly elections. Abdullah was sent to jail after contesting elections at a young age and applying forged papers. After about 23 months, Abdullah Azam came out of jail on 15 January. Abdullah Azam is definitely busy in the preparations for the elections, but without taking his name, he is accusing the former DM of Rampur of discrimination.
Abdullah said, 'My competition is with the government. Those officers who were earlier in Rampur are now in Moradabad (Anjaneya Kumar Singh) there is a fight against them. If I go to meet someone's dead, a police car moves ahead, another follows and announces that no one is found by me, otherwise I will be prosecuted. Will be hit with sticks. The candidates of the other party are roaming around with the crowd. Panic is being spread among the people of Rampur for not voting. On how many people the Goondas Act has been imposed. As long as some officials remain like this, there cannot be a fair election here.
Abdullah Azam further said, 'Candidates do not contest in Rampur. People fight. I do not know the accusers, but to understand the feelings which are mine, it is necessary to have a child. The feelings which are mine are also the same for the people here.
On the question of Pakistan and Jinnah, Abdullah said, "In the election, the public wants to know from the BJP what happened to the promise of doubling farmers' income. Who will give justice to the martyrdom of farmers? When will we get justice for crushing and killing the farmers in Lakhimpur? What did you do about unemployment? When will inflation come down? What is the answer about the death due to lack of oxygen and the dead bodies floating in the Ganges. Abdullah said, 'I don't know who is contesting against me. Not 80-20, 100% of the people (asked above) want answers to these questions.
The Swar seat, from where Abdullah Azam is striking for the second time, was once considered a BJP stronghold. Here Shiv Bahadur Saxena of BJP was MLA four times from 1989 till 2002. But later this party became the stronghold of the Nawabi family of Rampur. Nawab Qasim Ali was MLA from this seat for three consecutive terms from 2002 to 2017. But in 2017 he had to face defeat in front of Abdullah Azam.
On the other hand, Haider Ali's father, Kazim Ali is contesting this time in Rampur on a Congress ticket. A strong leader from SP, Azam Khan is in the fray. At present, he is lodged in Sitapur Jail and only his son Abdullah Azam is seeking votes from the public for him. Nawab Kazim Ali Khan said that Azam Khan only committed atrocities. Panic spread. They are not even from here, they are outsiders.
Rampur seat is Muslim majority. But here BJP has tried to make the contest interesting. SP leader Mohammad Azam Khan, who is considered a big face of Muslim politics in the politics of the state, is imprisoned in Sitapur jail. BJP youth leader Akash Saxena has been a big hand in sending him behind the bars. In many cases including two PAN cards, two passports, two birth certificates, Akash Saxena is directly a plaintiff in the trial, while in many cases, he has given strong testimony in the court to charge-frame Azam and his family.
Akash Saxena, who is out in the campaign, is seeking votes to make Yogi the Chief Minister. It is interesting that when people who came to his meetings were asked who would win in Rampur, people said that Akash Saxena is trying to get the Nayya crossed by the trust of Modi and Yogi.
